Dear Writers,
Thank you for being part of the Storymoja Community.
Last week, you read the three stories submitted on the Story of the Week. I hope you have voted for your favorite story. Remember voting closes on Wednesday at midnight. The winner will then be announced on Thursday, at the same time that the next round of the competition will begin.
To participate in the 2nd Round, please send in your 1000 word story to blogs@storymojaafrica.co.ke by Wednesday 15th July, 2009. Your story can be about anything as long as it represents the true ‘mkenya’ story, demonstrates excellent style and presentation, and reveals your creativity.
Remember, the winners of the Story of the Week in each round will be entered into the Storymoja Hay Festival Story of the Month. The Storymoja Judges with the guest judge chosen from among you will then review the stories and chose a winning story whose writer will get two tickets to the Hay Festival.
You will among many things have a chance to meet great local and international writers, participate in forum discussions on writing as well as other issues that affect our great country, and truly have fun!
