//
Behind my Dazed Self

He taps my shoulder

And I look back

Dazed but for a few

As I am jolted back to the present

My thoughts wandered off to the unknown

Where I can be

And we could be

Where birds still chirp

And flowers still bloom

Where every soul has a song

And lips still smile

Where hearts beat as one

And tears fade off

Where feet are light

And sway to the music

Where a silent prayer

Is a balm to the jaded

I give him the fare

And I return to my world
Behind my dazed self
