Mr.: I almost fall on my slippery bathroom, it is dark outside, there is a lovely full moon. That should be romantic. I have exactly 22 minutes to get ready. How did I doze off? I had overslept and almost missed this long awaited date.

My Doomed Valentine:The day before Valentine, I had given him a Kenny Rogers C.D with a good intention of manipulating his mind on how a perfect love day should be. After all, they always say that men are not so much into those lovey dovey things and so the need for some quick hints.

The Little Black Dress: She scrubbed her body clean. Today was the day. She could not wait any more. They had planned for it since the beginning of the holiday. She opened her rusted blue metal box which housed all her precious clothes.

The Family Reunion: A security guard directed me to a free parking space. The expansive Spicy hotel parking lot was not yet full. But, like in any other Friday evening, it was just a matter of time. The sun had slid behind the six-storey tall hotel building.

Social Media Flank: We have all had bad dates, but this one is the mother of all bad dates. This just tells you how tough it is to be single nowadays and how, truly, love is a battlefield. We met on a social site, Facebook to be exact, exchanged some messages and pictures.

Worst Date Ever: It did not feel right. The ambience at the restaurant was divine.  Soft music in the background, attentive staff and though I had not started eating yet, the plates I could see on the surrounding tables looked great.

At The Waterfall: It has been eons now since I first thought of letting the cat out to someone and now in my room powerfully radiating of colourful fabrics by my well versed in chintzy wife, I have got a audience: mine and my wife’s parents.

The Little Black dress is written from experience, I actually wrote it on the night of Valentines day 2010 when I was stood up. Writing this tale gave me a feeling of purgation..*pssst blowing my own trumphet :p*

I wrote the little black dress after been stood up earlier in 2010, Valentines day. This personal experience and my narration in prose, purged my then anger and spite for myself. The little black dress speaks for many girls stranded at Kencom waiting for that ‘call’
