Celebrating East African Writing!

Deadline! – June Photo Drama – Short Story Contest

So maybe we had just a little too much fun with last month’s Photo Drama and we have decided to do it again. Rules remain the same.

I am going to post a photo below, and in the captions I am going to explain exactly where, when and by whom the photo was taken.

Here’s the challenge.

Look at the photo, write down the first word that comes to your mind when you look at the photo.

Write a short story based on that word. Double extra points if your story is completely unrelated to the photograph.

Your short story should be no less than 750 words and no more than 1250 words.

At the end of the story, note down the word you based your story on and what in the picture triggered it.

Attach your short story on a Word 97-2003 Document and email it to blogs@storymojaafrica.co.ke with the email subject: June Photo Drama.

Make sure you send in your story before 28th June 2013 at midnight East African Time.

Prizes: 2 Season tickets to the Storymoja Hay Festival 2013 go to the author the best story as chosen by the Storymoja Blog Team.
