Writing can heal the body and soul. ‘Healing through Writing’ is designed to explore connections between writing and healing –and to facilitate your own exploration. You will look within yourself for writing ideas. Whether you already keep a journal or want to start a Well-Being Journal, it is an amazing, supportive tool that you can give to yourself. Come learn how to make the most out of writing. This masterclass will foster writing as a healing tool.
Beatrice Lamwaka is a Ugandan Writer and the representative for PEN International Women Writers Committee in Uganda, and General Secretary for PEN Uganda centre. She is the recipient of 2011 Young Achievers Award in the category of Art, Culture and Fashion. Her story Butterfly Dreams was shortlisted for 2011 Caine Prize for African Writing and finalist for the PEN/Studzinski Literary Award 2009. See Bio.
