PURPOSE OF INTERNSHIP
To provide an opportunity for 75 talented, energetic, dynamic and highly motivated ladies & gentlemen to centrally contribute to and learn from being part of a team that will put together the Storymoja Festival in Nairobi.
Due to the massive and dynamic nature of the festival, the selected interns will have an opportunity to explore their talents and abilities in a unique, exciting and stimulating work environment. They will be challenged to stretch their capabilities and gain experience. To add value to the process, the interns will undergo a carefully designed training programme aimed at enhancing various competencies.
REQUIREMENTS
Are you a crazy about literature and the arts?
Have superb communication skills and ready to work with an enthusiastic team who care deeply about books and reading!
Do the devastating statistics about the current state of literacy give you sleepless nights?
Do you turn blue with rage when people laugh at this horrible joke: If you want to hide money from a Kenyan, hide it in a book?
Do you desire to see a Kenya with a vibrant knowledge and creative economy? Then you need to be part of our team!
The key requirements for this position are: Commitment, Passion (we have a passionometer), Open-mindedness, Willingness to learn & Ability to make your hands very dirty.
TIME COMMITMENT
3 months
1st July- 14th September- Part time
16th – 20th September 2015 – Full time
4 face to face meetings- to be communicated later
CONDITIONS
Internship is on a voluntary basis, and NO payment is provided. However, working tools and meals will be provided during the festival.

Yes. But only if you can make it to all training sessions in Nairobi (about once a month from June to September) and also be available for all 5 days of the festival!
