The Wangari Maathai Memorial Lecture delivered at @StorymojaFest by UNEP’s Chief Scientist Jacqueline McGlade

Since 2012, the Storymoja Festival has been honoured to host The Wangari Maathai Memorial Lecture in partnership with the Green Belt Movement. In 2014, the Lecture was delivered by Wole Soyinka and was titled ‘The Parables of Wangari Maathai’s Trees’.

This year, UNEP Chief Scientist, Jacqueline McGlade will deliver a challenging and inspiring message while paying glowing tribute to her long time friend and Africa’s celebrated matriarch, Wangari Maathai. Introduction by Wanjira Maathai, late Wangari Maathai’s daughter.

Space is limited for the lecture, and therefore entry to the lecture is by pre-registration only.
